Monographs

Authors are requested to send us an outline, and if possible, a sample chapter. Normally, Monographs must have between 120 and 300 pages. Please consult the authors guide for details about manuscript preparation.

The author of a Monograph receives 10 complimentary copies. In the case of two authors, each will receive 5 copies, and in the event of more than two, each will receive 4 copies. Royalty payments are fifteen percent of the Publishers net sales.

Up to 10 additional copies can be purchased through the Fields Institute at a cost of 50% of the listed price.

A copy of the contract for authors is posted for your information. Please note that under certain circumstances, the precise terms of the contract are open to negotiation.

Communications

Editors are requested to send us a tentative list of authors, and - if the event is not sponsored by the Fields Institute - a copy of the proposal or some other detailed description for the conference, workshop, special year, etc. Please note that the editorial board attaches considerable importance to the inclusion of survey articles, if possible by prominent mathematicians. Normally, Communication volumes must have between 150 and 400 pages.

Editors may find this timeline useful in carrying out the editing process of communications volumes.

Authors of articles should consult the Author Guide for details about manuscript preparation.

The editors of a communications volume will receive 6 copies, divided equally among the editors. If there are three or more editors, each will receive 2 copies.

Each author, up to a maximum of 20, will receive a copy of the published volume. In the case of more than 20 authors, the editors can obtain the additional copies at 50% of the list price; we suggest that editors incorporate this charge into the conference budget. Each author will also receive 50 free offprints. This number is split equally among multiple authors. Additional offprints can be ordered by authors.

Authors/editors can purchase up to 5 additional copies of the hard cover volume at the AMS individual member discounted price. A copy of the contract for editors is posted for your information. Please note that under certain circumstances, the precise terms of the contract are open to negotiation.
