COXETER, DISTINGUISHED AND STATISTICAL SCIENCE LECTURE SERIES

Coxeter Lecture Series

The Coxeter Lecture Series (CLS) brings a leading international mathematician in the field of the thematic program of the Institute to give a series of three lectures. The first of the lectures is intended for a general mathematical audience and the remaining lectures are intended to highlight some recent important developments in the field of the program. The speaker is selected by the Institute's Scientific Advisory Panel.

Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS)

The Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS) brings a leading mathematician to the Institute to give a series of two or three one-hour lectures. The Fields Institute Scientific Advisory Panel will designate a recipient on the basis of outstanding contributions to the advancement of the mathematical sciences, with excellence in research and strong presentation skills as the main selection criteria. The DLS is usually associated with a thematic program. Nominations should include supporting documentation and contact information on the candidate, and should be sent to the director.

For more detail on both these programs, see the thematic program proposals web page.

Proposals and nominations for these series are considered at the fall and spring meetings of the Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP), and should be sent by September 15 or March 15 to:
